Learning about "basket twist" in wrought iron
Cynthia has consigned two elegant floor candelabra. Each stands 55" tall and holds 3 pillar candles.
The pattern of twisted iron in the upright arms seems Celtic to me, but I can't find that it is. However, I did stumble upon the correct term to describe this type of iron work: "basket twist" or "blacksmith's twist". There's even a website that describes how you can make it yourself, if you happen to have a forge handy:

Here's a view of half the pair, full-length. One thinks of floor candelabra for weddings, but these would also serve well in many other settings, indoors and out:
