Spode teapot Patricia

This lovely teapot cannot be used to serve tea any longer, as its handle has been broken and repaired. But it is still able to delight visually.

I see Replacements, Ltd, is selling just the lid from a Spode Patricia teapot for $259.95 plus shipping. What would you offer for this lid with a decoration-only teapot added? Send us your bids...

Learning about "basket twist" in wrought iron

Cynthia has consigned two elegant floor candelabra. Each stands 55" tall and holds 3 pillar candles.

The pattern of twisted iron in the upright arms seems Celtic to me, but I can't find that it is. However, I did stumble upon the correct term to describe this type of iron work: "basket twist" or "blacksmith's twist". There's even a website that describes how you can make it yourself, if you happen to have a forge handy:

Here's a view of half the pair, full-length. One thinks of floor candelabra for weddings, but these would also serve well in many other settings, indoors and out:

Valentines, hearts, tea, and chocolate...

Between marketing quality secondhand furniture and first-rate organic tea and treats, we've been noticing that Valentine's Day is approaching.

Valentine's Day has a beautiful history, and it's one of the most fun holidays to decorate for.

Once again, our consignors at The Living Room Consignment & Tea have made this holiday shine...

Charming little valentine pillows by Stella Jensen, from $3 to $12.

A heart-warming red tea set ...

...and a delightful glass tea brewing and warming system, both perfect for preparing and serving Davidson's Valentine Tea, a refreshing blend of organic white tea and rose petals.

An array of heart-art and frames..

And Theo Chocolate. Better than the best because it's not only delicious,
it's also organic and fair trade, so you know it is helping others as well.
And as this picture insists on showing you, it can turn you on your ear!

Hope your Valentine's Day is day filled with knowing God's love for you
and sharing it with those around you :^)

Hometown Values coupon magazine is out!

It always amazes me how shoppers come in a steady stream the very day the Hometown Values coupon magazine arrives by mail in our community. For most, it is their first notice of our store, tucked away behind the old bank that became the city hall and is now being remodeled for the Kenmore Post Office.

In case you didn't get your own HTV coupon book in the mail, or perhaps you recycled it before you knew the treasure it contained, use this link to get to a printable coupon:
