Is everybody blogging pictures of snow?

Snowy view from The Living Room Consignment & Tea, looking toward our espresso kiosk this afternoon. Kenmore Coffee & Tea (can you tell we're related?) is the small building to the right. Not much to look at yet, but the Kenmore outlet for Kuma Coffee's truly wonderful espresso!

Meanwhile, inside The Living Room, it's a cozier picture. We've moved things around as one hutch sold and another hutch was consigned:

If I can slide little Toyota down the hill safely tomorrow, I will see you at The Living Room!

Sideways rain and horizontal puddles

On Mondays, I'm sometimes in the shop to "get things done." Euphemism. Looking out the window today at sideways rain. Good thing I was here, though, to mop up a small leak from an overflowing gutter. Thankfully, Chris scrambled up a ladder and scooped out the plug of leaves, so the water is flowing to where it should, not to where it shouldn't. Oh, well, we needed to rearrange the things along that wall anyway.

A beautiful, expanding trestle table for family kitchen or dining room

I showed you a couple of photos of this table set when it first came in, but I'd like you to see it now that it's set up. Isn't it lovely? And see below how easy it is to open and expand to make room for more friends and family at the table.

Solid wood trestle table with carved beaded trim and 8 matching chairs.

Extremely sturdy and well made.

Rounded rectangular top measures 72" long x 42" wide, plus 2 leaves stored under the table add 12" each, making room for the 8 chairs in this set.

Here's a series showing how the leaves fold up from under the table. The gears make this process a breeze:
