Shopping local, non-mall? Come to The Living Room!

A little sampler of what you'll find at The Living Room Consignment & Tea
I hope your Thanksgiving Day was a blessed day for you. Now that you can move again after eating all that turkey, consider a relaxing stroll through The Living Room. We have quality consigned items of all sorts (furniture, home furnishings, collectibles, art, tea...). And we're open the Friday after Thanksgiving, if you want a respite from the malls.

If it's spring, it's time for leaves, and they're here!

When this sweet, mid-century teak dining table was consigned, it came without leaves. But--good news!--the consignor remembered where they were stored (behind the piano, of course), so now we are good to go.

With the recovery of the leaves, it has just grown in potential from 4 seats at a 42" rectangle, to 8 seats at a 42x78" rectangle.

Made by Drexel in the 1960s for their Parallel collection, this table shows usual signs of use, yet retains its glowing beauty. During our off-and-on summer, doesn't this look like a cheerful setting for yummy meals and lingering visits with family and friends?

We're over-full at The Living Room, so our come-and-get-it price ($425...$375!) includes the 4 matching chairs, 1 same-style side chair, and a twin that needs repair.

Any excuse for a sale!

Yep, ALL our tables are 10% off through Saturday, August 7.

You know we have end tables, but I'll bet you haven't seen the lovely wooden folding table that just came in:

And how long since you laid eyes on the IKEA-style pine breakfast table with 4 chairs that have all been subsumed to the back of the shop?

I had rounded up more photos of our tables last night during some midnight-oil blogging, but an unfortunate battery incident brought an abrupt "good night" to my computer use; what wasn't saved, ain't here today. But here's a better solution, really: a collection of most of them in a flickr set:

Meanwhile, there's plenty of non-tabular items to be enjoyed, as well. We're several days into our second year here, and seem to be experiencing a "consignment bloom". Maybe it has something to do with the summer temperatures?

And know that there's much, much more at The Living Room.
