Kenmore Branch of King County Library opens today! And CPN Craft Market today!

I have just a sec to tell you that the Kenmore Library is finally ready for all of us! Ribbon cutting at 9:30 a.m. today. The coffee kiosk next to it, Kenmore Coffee & Tea, has a "Bookworm Special" to celebrate: special price for any Italian soda (the sun is out!) with a gummy bookworm :^)

And just up the street, at 190th and 68th Ave NE, Cedar Park Northshore is having their open-air market today. The craft booths looked great as I drove by this morning; wish I could be there, but I will be here at The Living Room, but you can stop by both places!

Saturday, November 20: Christmas Craft Bazaar at Cedar Park Northshore!

The Living Room plans to be part of the fun at Cedar Park Northshore's annual Christmas Craft Bazaar this Saturday, November 20, 2010, in Kenmore, so look for our booth. We'll be there 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.! (Our store will also be open, 10-6, if you are up to double-dipping.)

Jenni, of Hidden Treasures fame, has put together a great variety of crafters, artists, and vendors so you can do your Christmas shopping in one fun place. She's thought of everything: "The youth are serving lunch from 11am to 1:30pm and this will consist of bar-b-q pulled pork sandwiches, chips and cookie for $4.00 and homemade, extremely delicious to die for chili with all the trimmings (tortilla chips, cheddar cheese, and sour cream) for $3.00 a bowl."

Sounds like the place to be this Saturday, no matter what weather you have to slog through to get there!

They're at it again...more vignettes by Donna with Chris' help

I'm thankful for their upbeat attitude. Knowing that their work will be undone perhaps before the end of the day as people come in to buy what's in the vignettes, or to consign pieces that will require all that work to be moved, they do it for joy, as unto the Lord, creating temporal beauty.

We were prompted to get on this job because I need a photo for an ad. I think the one above is my fave.

And here's my humble attempt to make our tea tables inviting. I forget which friend suggested this, but we decorate with tea-light candles in tea cups. Since we not a restaurant, we cannot serve our wonderful, Davidson's organic tea in china. Thankfully, even in paper cups, the quality is evident.
