We're having a Sofa Bloom!

Is this a sign of Spring? A few weeks ago, no couches in sight, then "boom", or "bloom"! Half a dozen couches start a parade through The Living Room. Some have come and gone even as I write, but these were on the floor last I checked (check craigslist for current pricing and availability):

A stylish, crescent sofa.(UPDATE: SOLD)
 Highly tailored pink plaid!
(more views here)
.
Brocade sofa and loveseat, low profile with tufted back.
Lovingly maintained since the 1960s.
These have wheels in place of the front legs.

Big, chenille sofa, 100" long. A favorite!
A Flexsteel sofa, in excellent condition.

A living room within The Living Room...how meta

When my consignor unloaded his truck,
he set this up in the space we'd cleared out for him, creating an instant meta-living room within The Living Room.

Pretty cool, huh? (eh? for you Canadians)
So, our new inventory includes the Flexsteel sofa, the striped chair and ottoman, the wood and glass coffee table with fold-up leaves, a matching console table, a hall tree (not visible here), and a little, fringed pouf footstool.

To view pricing and availability, please check our craiglist ad.

Rearranging begins! Mossy green velvet couch waits for the new floorplan.

Vintage, channel-back sofa in moss green velvet. Original excelsior fills the seat cushions.
At 6 feet wide x ~34" deep, it's a nice, cozy size. It came in as a good deal, so it's going out for only $95! UPDATE: SOLD
I could hardly wait until our work week ended at 6 pm today, I was that eager to begin rearranging the shop into our new floor plan. We should be ready with the updated look when our next work cycle begins on Tuesday at 10 a.m.

(If this velvety green couch hasn't sold before your next visit to The Living Room Consignment & Tea, it would be a good place to sit with a cup of tea and enjoy the results of our "soft remodel".)

Let's see what Duncan Phyfe style looks like in a sofa...

Here's a fun piece that was consigned today. A stunning, vintage Duncan Phyfe-style sofa. It's in really good condition. The carved wood trim shows its age. Well, not literally, because I don't know if this is 1920's or 1940's, but I'll bet someone out there could tell me?

It's 81" long x 34" deep, and 34" high at the back, 26" high at the rolled arms.

The current owner purchased this davenport years ago as is, as vintage piece in Idaho. A clue to its mysterious origins? A label from Luques Upholstery in Alameda.

Here are some close-ups of the carved wood details:

Comes with 3 seat cushions and 1 cylindrical accent pillow in self-fabric.
(2 vintage, satin, down throw pillows available separately.)

Faded ink stain on arm and side of one seat cushion is normally covered by accent pillows; might benefit from deeper treatment?
