Do you remember Doce's? Vintage, stylish furniture from the 1960s

UPDATE: SOLD
From a consignor with fond memories of an aunt who vacuumed her 1960s furniture every week and enjoyed her nephews and nieces when they visited and sat in her formal living room :^) ...

A plush, butter-ivory armchair from Doce's, probably in the 1960s. Very comfortable. Tailored and buttoned, stylish curves and unusual, rolled, padded wingback.

A living room within The Living Room...how meta

When my consignor unloaded his truck,
he set this up in the space we'd cleared out for him, creating an instant meta-living room within The Living Room.

Pretty cool, huh? (eh? for you Canadians)
So, our new inventory includes the Flexsteel sofa, the striped chair and ottoman, the wood and glass coffee table with fold-up leaves, a matching console table, a hall tree (not visible here), and a little, fringed pouf footstool.

Rearranging begins! Mossy green velvet couch waits for the new floorplan.

Vintage, channel-back sofa in moss green velvet. Original excelsior fills the seat cushions.
At 6 feet wide x ~34" deep, it's a nice, cozy size. It came in as a good deal, so it's going out for only $95! UPDATE: SOLD
I could hardly wait until our work week ended at 6 pm today, I was that eager to begin rearranging the shop into our new floor plan. We should be ready with the updated look when our next work cycle begins on Tuesday at 10 a.m.

(If this velvety green couch hasn't sold before your next visit to The Living Room Consignment & Tea, it would be a good place to sit with a cup of tea and enjoy the results of our "soft remodel".)

Christ is risen!

Wishing you a joyous Resurrection Sunday tomorrow! If Christ had not risen from the dead, we would be without hope. But join me in celebrating our Living Hope.

Wasn't today's cloudless sky a wonder? So good to look out the shop window and--much as I love big, puffy, cumulus clouds--see not one wisp in all the sky. Hope you were able to enjoy it, too, and thanks to all who made The Living Room part of your sunny, Saturday rounds!

Going home now to make borsht for my daughter's birthday dinner. Here's a photo patchwork I made of a few of our consignments for you to enjoy until we re-open next Tuesday :^) See you then!
