A plush, butter-ivory armchair from Doce's, probably in the 1960s. Very comfortable. Tailored and buttoned, stylish curves and unusual, rolled, padded wingback.

A living room within The Living Room...how meta

When my consignor unloaded his truck,
he set this up in the space we'd cleared out for him, creating an instant meta-living room within The Living Room.
Pretty cool, huh? (eh? for you Canadians)

So, our new inventory includes the Flexsteel sofa, the striped chair and ottoman, the wood and glass coffee table with fold-up leaves, a matching console table, a hall tree (not visible here), and a little, fringed pouf footstool.

Victorian era Eastlake parlor chair

Charming antique chair. The Eastlake-style hand-carving dates this chair to late 1800s. The round seat is 24" diameter. The front legs have small wheels.

Grandmama's purple velvet Victorian style chair

A very fun place to sit with a cup of tea.
Probably an old reproduction of an older chair; quite sweet.

Action Industries is a funny name for a rocker recliner...

...because once you sit down...

...pull the hand-lever to put your feet up...

...and then push back to fully recline...

...the only action is the closing of your eyelids and your peaceful breathing.

These chairs have supported many happy dreams, and are looking for a new home in which to serve.

Here's a vintage wooden armchair with ottoman that just came in. Thought you might enjoy picturing yourself nestled in here with your feet up.

Underneath the plaid slipcover is a burgundy velvet upholstery in decent condition. Maybe there will be a follow up photo tomorrow.

"The Duchess", a wingback needing a little help: upholstery paint, anyone? (UPDATE: SOLD)

I don't intend to stock many items needing repair or restoration, but this swank old wingback just needs a little help to be a treasure once again:

I'm calling it "The Duchess" because the swank shape of the wings looks like a royal hat (from Disney's Cinderella?).
Someone suggested painting the entire chair, as you would a canvas!
