Here's the photo I promised you a couple of blog entries back -- the vintage lounger and ottoman without its slipcover. I kinda like it better this way. Priced at $85 $75, slipcover included.

I like the unusual, Art Deco style of these vintage wingback chairs.

Speaking of tea, a charming collection of bone china teacups was brought in this week:

The story here is, these were donated to a homeless shelter which can't use them,
but can use the funds raised by their sale.

Here's a vintage wooden armchair with ottoman that just came in. Thought you might enjoy picturing yourself nestled in here with your feet up.

Underneath the plaid slipcover is a burgundy velvet upholstery in decent condition. Maybe there will be a follow up photo tomorrow.

One of several white tigers recently consigned. The consignor has switched from tigers to hippos. This one is the largest of the collection, measuring 22" tall and 46" from toes to rump. "Cheerio" is from the Classic Wild Animal Collection by KellyToys.

I will be late in opening the shop on Wednesday, July 13, so if you want to visit Cheerio, come after 12 noon.

Kenmore Branch of King County Library opens today! And CPN Craft Market today!

I have just a sec to tell you that the Kenmore Library is finally ready for all of us! Ribbon cutting at 9:30 a.m. today. The coffee kiosk next to it, Kenmore Coffee & Tea, has a "Bookworm Special" to celebrate: special price for any Italian soda (the sun is out!) with a gummy bookworm :^)

And just up the street, at 190th and 68th Ave NE, Cedar Park Northshore is having their open-air market today. The craft booths looked great as I drove by this morning; wish I could be there, but I will be here at The Living Room, but you can stop by both places!

So happy! Craigslist has removed all my objections and gripes about using their free ad platform. (Well, almost all, but I'm not going to dwell on the negative of having anonymous peeps able to flag down perfectly good ads, with no recourse to the poster except to submit a query to the rude forums. Nope, not going there.)

Craigslist now allows me to renew with a flick of the click, and to repost all my ads one after the other without getting the "You're posting too fast; you must be a spammer" time-out.

UPDATE: A connection via Kenmore Veterinary Hospital enabled the owner and dog to enjoy a joyful reunion!

Karen must be a dog magnet. This healthy, cared-for dog wandered into her yard this morning, near 64th Ave NE & NE 185th Street in Kenmore. If you recognize the dog, please contact us at 425-877-1074 and help her get home.

She is black, mixed breed. The hair on her legs and paws is black mixed with rich brown. Very sweet dog.
